Today I am grateful to have a roof over our heads. Last night at 1am I heard a *bang* coming from outside, then a glowing light coming from the window. I jumped up, looked out the window and saw my neighbors house on fire. I screamed "BRETT! WAKE UP! THE NEIGHBORS HOUSE IS ON FIRE!!" He sleepily asked "like fire?" as I started putting on clothes I screamed "YES! GET UP!" he jumped up and out the door to help. I VERY clumsily ran to our phone, called 911, and sounded like a crazy person "MY NEIGHBORS HOUSE IS ON FIRE!! LIKE...FIRE FIRE!!" the woman on the other end very calmly said "let me connect you" ..."hello?" "MY NEIGHBORS HOUSE IS ON FIRE!" "are you on clifford?" "yes" "We already got that call, we're on our way". As soon as I hung up I got my boots on to go to my neighbor who is directly next to the house on fire, and Brett's right there and hands me their little baby. She looked at me with the most innocent smile. I grabbed her and put her in our playpen, then the rest of the family and kiddos came on over and we watched the flames engulf the house. No one was hurt, and the fire rescue crew came and demolished the house, breaking in windows, chopping up the roof to get to this fire. I've never seen anything like it. I just kept thinking "I'm so glad we're safe"...
